About Me

A bit about who I am.

I'm a first-year Engineering student at the University of Manitoba and a competitive distance runner who builds websites on the side. I grew up bilingual, graduated with a 96% average in my senior year, and hit the ground running in university — Dean's Honour List both semesters, five engineering societies, and a national design competition in my first year.

Involvement

Where I show up.

MCAM
Mechanical Contractors Association of Manitoba
MCAM

I hold an executive seat as Student Chapter Treasurer — the youngest in the chapter's history. I earned this role by building trust and credibility within the organization before putting my name forward in the election. MCAM selected me as the only first-year to represent the chapter at the national MCAA Student Chapter Summit in Ottawa, where I competed in and won both design competitions. MCAM also connected me directly to my current role at Equipco Ltd., a manufacturers' representative in the mechanical contracting sector.

UMES
University of Manitoba Engineering Society
UMES

I was selected as Super Frosh 2025 — one of two first-year students chosen faculty-wide on the basis of personability, charisma, and networking ability. I served as a first-year intern on the Spirit Directorship, the team responsible for making the engineering community come alive through socials, band marches, Engineering Week, and school spirit events. I have since secured a full seat on Spirit for the 2026/27 school year.

CSME
Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering
CSME

As a student member of the CSME, I participate in industry-focused events including professional AMAs, networking sessions, and cabin retreats. The chapter connects me with mechanical engineering professionals and peers from across the industry, giving me exposure to the field well beyond the classroom. Being part of CSME also means carrying forward traditions that have been built by engineering students over many years — something I take genuine pride in.

TBog
UM Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race
TBog

UMGNCTR — known as TBog — is one of the most technically demanding student engineering competitions in Canada. Teams design and build a steel-frame toboggan that races on concrete skis. I'm on the superstructure sub-team, responsible for the frame, steering, and braking systems. I contributed a braking concept that was adopted and built upon for the final race-day design.

UMEarth
Trickle Filter Project
UMEarth

I've secured a position on the Trickle Filter Project for the 2026/27 school year — a student-led initiative to engineer an affordable, effective water filtration system for communities without reliable access to clean water. This is where engineering meets something that actually matters.
